Hike to 4 mountain huts in Mühlbach am Hochkönig

Mühlbach am Hochkönig: Riedingalm (1,370 m) - Windraucheggalm (1,470 m) - Schartenalm (1,535 m) - Molterauhütte (1,540 m) - Brandstätthütte (1,543 m)

Wonderful hike in the Hochkönig massif

Let's go to Arthurhaus in Mühlbach on the Mitterberg. Here you can park your car and already get a look at the wonderful Hochkönig massif. From here the alpine path leads steadily to Riedingalm at 1,370 m. A beautiful walk to the waterfall past the alpine cross, commemorative plaque and diverse alpine flora.

Enjoy our amazing nature. Continue on towards Windraucheggalm at 1,470 m. To get to the hut you hike through lush mountain pastures where more than 100 head of cattle graze, and where you can observe marmots 100 meters above the path. The Windraucheggalm serves fresh farm 'Krapfen' doughnuts daily. Further along this beautiful hiking trail there is a short climb. After this climb you will have already reached the 4 huts at Widdersberg.

Hike to 4 mountain huts

  • Hike to the foot of the impressive Hochkönig massif surrounded by stunning nature
  • Observation of marmots possible
  • Homemade delicacies such as 'Krapfen' doughnuts and homemade Schnapps
  • Traditional hut festivity with accordion
The quaint Schartenalm at 1,535 m has everything your heart desires. A splendid alpine landscape with beautiful panorama and an accordion for our music lovers. Let us spoil you with a traditional mountain hut 'Jause' snack!

The Molterauhütte is located at 1,540 m. Here too you can enjoy the wonderful nature and watch the cows, calves and sheep on the pasture. Enjoy fresh milk from the pasture animals or even a homemade Schnapps for health.

The Brandstätthütte at 1,543 m is a family-operated hut and only offers products from its own farm. The fresh Kaiserschmarrn pancakes have a particularly alpine taste. Stefan, the mountain hut owner's son, will of course serenade you with a traditional ditty on the accordion.
